KPop ranking on Billboard Social 50: 2010-2016

Social 50

Did you know that PSY wasn’t the first Korean artist to land a spot on the Social 50 chart? It was the Wonder Girls. Did you know PSY wasn’t even the first Korean solo artist to chart? It was Sungha Jung. Although PSY and BTS are the largest record holders on the Social 50; there are quite a number of KPop artists who also made records and broke through the barrier on Billboard. That’s why we made this list. Because we here at KpG think all KPop should get the recognition it deserves.

 Updated: 1 Jan 2018

The Billboard Social 50 Chart is calculated for Billboard by Next Big Sound (owned by Pandora as of May 2015). NBS metric for Social 50 is divided Fans/Followers (60%) + Views/Plays (30%) + Reactions (10%) as of September 2016. Views/Plays come from places like Spotify, Pandora, YouTube, etc.. Shares and followers count on Twitter, Facebook, Shazam, etc.. Wiki and Google searches are also factored into the metric. Billboard charts post for date 11 days in advance. This is a list of all Korean artists (KPop and otherwise) that charted on Billboard’s Social 50 Chart from beginning through 2016.
